  • Aspirants shall not be less than 16 years of age in order to be eligible for the exam.

 

  • Candidates who are diploma holders should not be less than 18 years so as to appear for the exam.

Domicile

  • Citizens of India, as well as Foreign Nationals, can apply for the exam.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board.

 

  • Students with a 3-year diploma course in Engineering/ Technology covering subjects of Mathematics and Physics up to 10+2 level along with relevant work experience are eligible to appear in the exam.

 

  • Candidates pursuing higher education in the field Physics, Electrical, Electronics or Computer can also appear for AMIETE 2019.

  • The candidate needs to Visit the official website of IETE and click on AMIETE.

 

  • Applicants will have to select their respective stream by clicking on it.

 

  • The prospectus of AMIETE will appear and the application form will be enclosed within it.

 

  • Click on download the application form and take a printout of the application form.

 

  • Fill it with necessary details in a prescribed format along with a stamp-sized photograph pasted on it.

 

  • After filling the form, aspirants must enclose a demand draft of Rs. 6000/- (separate DD of Rs. 350/- for downloaded forms), another photograph similar to the one pasted on the form and other necessary documents if required.

 

  • The AMIETE 2019 application form should be delivered in person or by speed post/ courier to the address mentioned below.

 

  • The AMIETE 2019 application form must contain all the necessary enclosures along with the demand draft of requisite fees.

  • Candidates can log in to controller’s official web portal form to get access to the application form and click on AMIETE link and select the stream.

 

  • A prospectus along with application form appears on the screen.

Steps to fill-Up in Online Application Process:

 

  • Visit the official website of AMIETE 2019.

 

  • Go through 'Scrollings'.

 

  • Click on 'Online Exam Form June 2019 AMIETE/DIPIETE'.

 

  • Applicants will be re-directed to a New Log In Page.

 

  • Pay the required application fee as prescribed, it's different for each subject/course. (Exam Fee for AMIETE per subject - Rs. 1000/-)

 

  • After the Payment, you will get a membership number & then Search to get access to the application form and click on the AMIETE Exam Form June 2019 link and select the no. of subjects that you have paid for & proceed further.

 

  • A prospectus along with application form appears on the screen.

 

  • Candidates will have an option to fill the form and complete the processes entirely and save the form.

 

  • Thereafter, the candidate needs to choose the test centre of his/her choice and submit the application.

 

  • Applicants will have to upload their Photograph, signature saving the details.

 

  • After uploading these documents, click on the "Submit" button.

 

  • Mode of Payment: You can pay the fees Online/Offline.

  • The organizing Institute offers an IETE Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship scheme for AMIETE students from the year 2010.

 

  • This scheme offers a scholarship to 50 AMIETE meritorious students from the economically weaker sections.

 

  • The amount of scholarship will be INR 5000 per year.

AMIETE 2019 Marking Scheme
9 Marking Scheme

AMIETE 2019 exam will follow a grade based marking strategy. Below points will encourage candidates to understand, the marking pattern of the competitive examination.

 

  • A minimum of 50% of marks will be required in the theory papers in order to start working on the practical lab-based portion of the exam.

 

  • Candidates will need to secure a minimum of 4-grade points per subject and an aggregate of 5 CGPA in total to crack AMIETE 2019 exam.

 

  • Since AMIETE 2019 will follow the grading system so, 4-grade points will be equivalent to securing grade D in the exam.

 

  • On seminars and practical lab-based exam, a candidate must secure a minimum of C grade that is grade point 5 in order to clear the AMIETE 2019 exam.

 

  • Attending the required grade is essential to pass the exam.

 

  • Anything below D grade will be considered not qualified under AMIETE 2019 Exam Pattern.

 

 

Important Points regarding Grade Points:

 

  • Each theory paper will carry 4 credit scores.

 

  • The project work or lab-based practical paper will carry in a total of 8 credit scores.

 

  • Seminars will carry in a total of 4 credit scores.

 

  • Candidates securing 9 CGPA or more will pass AMIETE 2019 with distinction.

 

  • Anything below 9 and more than 6.5 CGPA will fetch the candidate first division.

 

  •  Less than 6.5 and more than 5 CGPA falls under second division.

 

  • Any candidate scoring below 5 CGPA will be considered failed in AMIETE 2019 exam.
Time Limit
  • Candidates are required to complete their AMIETE exam within 2 enrollment periods from the date of initial enrollment.

 

  • The Student will be permitted to seek only one renewal of membership.

 

  • They will have to apply for renewal before or immediately after the expiry of initial enrollment with continuity of enrollment maintained by them.

 

  • Any delays in the application will be counted towards a total number of examinations and no relaxation in this regard will be allowed.

 

  • If the request for renewal is made after the stipulated period of 2 enrollments, admission will be treated as a fresh application and no benefit in terms of exemptions in respect of any subject passed or exempted during the earlier term will be granted.

  • AMIETE 2019 Syllabus broadly covers three subjects; physics, chemistry and mathematics.

 

  • The standard of the syllabus is based on 10+2 or higher secondary level.

Acceptable ID’s include (must be original, valid and nonexpired)–Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhar card, etc.

 

Note: Candidates should not bring any material with them except the Hall Ticket, Blue/Black Pen.

Use of calculators, log tables and slide ruler, watches with facilities of calculator, and cellular phones are strictly prohibited for the test.

The Candidates must keep in mind that they should take some Valid ID proof with them along with Admit card. Applicants are requested to be present at the Test Venue at least 30 Minutes before the time of commencement of the Exam.

Candidates are also requested to check the instructions before they attend the entrance exam.

No candidate is allowed to carry any baggage inside the examination hall.
The candidates must sign on the Attendance Sheet at the appropriate place. Candidates are not allowed to carry any textual material in printed or written form and things like log tables, formula book, mobile phone, pager, programmable calculators inside the exam hall.
Candidates are requested to take care of their own things like materials, purses, gold etc., and should be self- responsible for their things.

Candidate should not do any kind of Malpractice while the exam for which he/she shall be debarred.

Approach the hall invigilator in the room for any technical assistance, first aid emergency or any other information during the course of the examination. Candidate should not leave the examination hall before the completion of the exam.

A student applying for AMIETE should have passed 10+2 exam with PCM or should have done Diploma in Engineering including DipIETE and should not be less than 16 years of age and must have practical work/training experience.

What is the Eligibility criteria for enrolling DipIETE? A student applying for DipIETE should have passed 10th exam with Science & Maths and should not be less than 14 years of age.

What is the procedure of applying for student’s membership renewal? A student has to submit a DD of Rs.6000/-(after Due Date) or Rs.5000/-(Before due Date) along with an application on a plain paper and the latest photograph.
What is the procedure for collecting the Exam Application Form?

The examination form is initially given free of cost Grade sheet of the examination to the students who have appeared in that examination.

 

The examination application form can also be obtained by the student from the nearest IETE centre or directly from IETE HQ on payment of Rs.20/-(add the postal charge of Rs.25/- if required by post).

 What is the procedure of alteration in the exam Application Form?

For any amendment/alteration in the examination form after submission, an amount of Rs.500/- will be charged, provided the request is received by the IETE HQs by 20th May/20th November.

What is the procedure of applying for Final Mark-sheet and Provisional/ Final Certificate?

Students who have fully cleared all the papers and do not wish to appear for any improvement must send an undertaking that they do not wish to appear for improvement and would like to get their Final Marksheet and Provisional / Final Certificate.

 

They are also requested to pay their Fee (Rs 3800 /- for AMIETE students & Rs 5800/- for DIPIETE students)

What is the procedure for collecting Bonafide/Migration/Character/transcript Certificate? For collecting the above mention certificates a student has to sent a draft of Rs 100/- along with format available on our website.
What is the procedure for requesting recounting of Marks?

Recounting of marks, if requested, can be got done by paying Rs.200/-through DD per subject.

 

Requests for recounting of marks must be received within 30 days from the date of announcement of results on a separate application on a plain paper.

 

There is no provision for re-evaluation.
