Common Admission Test (CAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination offers admission into MBA, PGDM and other postgraduate management courses in India. Before leaving for the Test Centre, Candidates are requested to verify and carry their original ID proof and the printed CAT 2019 Admit card. | Avoid attempting to appear for CAT 2019 Exam more than once. Candidature will be cancelled if a candidate is found to appear for the test multiple times. |
Ensure to affix the Photograph, as required, in the space provided on the Admit Card before handing over for verification at the Test Centre. Affix the same photograph which was uploaded during the application process. | Do not request entry to the Test Centre post 08:45 a.m. for the Forenoon Session and post 02:15 p.m. for the Afternoon Session. |
Report at the Test centre at 07:30 a.m. IST for the Forenoon Session and at 01:00 p.m. IST for the Afternoon Session. | Do not carry any prohibited item such as electronic gadgets etc. inside the Exam Lab. What is the fee for the CAT exam? | The fee is Rs. 1900 for General and NC-OBC Candidates. However, if you belong to the SC/ST/PWD category, the applicable fee is Rs. 950. |
Where can I pay the CAT exam fee? | You can pay the CAT exam fee during online registration. The payment of application fee should be done payment gateway. Use a valid credit card, debit card, or net banking facility. |

Where can I select my preference of shift and test date? |
The exam shift (forenoon or afternoon) is allocated for each registered candidate based on the city preference made at the time of application. A candidate cannot select the shift. |
Can I take the exam from any computer? |
A candidate must take the exam on a workstation assigned at the exam venue based on the city selected while registering for CAT. The venue details are printed on the Admit Card. |
