Candidate should be a Master's degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics or equivalent with 3/ 4 years of Bachelor's degree. Candidates having a post-graduate degree in basic sciences with 3 years Bachelor's degree Must have the NET qualification.

Candidate should be Master's degree m Forestry/ Soil Science/ Agroforestry/ Agronomy/ Environmental Sciences/ Relevant Agricultural Sciences (M.Sc. degree completed with thesis work in partial fulfillment of degree program) with 4/ 5 years of bachelor's degree.
