Age criteria

• Candidate must turn 17 years before or on 31^st December of the year of admission.

• The upper age limit is 22 years (25 years for SC and ST category applicants and 27 years for Physically handicapped applicants).

Qualifying exams

• Candidates must have necessarily passed Diploma in Horticulture course from Dr. YSRHU. Also, candidates who will be completing their Diploma in the academic year 2016-17, are eligible to apply for HORTICET 2019.

• However, the candidate will have to submit his/her Final Memorandum of Marks-cum-Pass Certificate of Diploma in Horticulture during the counselling process.

Appearing applicants

• Appearing Applicants who are in the final exam of the diploma are also eligible to apply.

 HORTICET 2019 Application Form Download Procedure:

• Go to the official website of Dr. YSRHU.

• Click on ‘More Announcements’ tab on right hand pane of webpage.

• Under Announcements, search for ‘HORTICET - 2019 – NOTIFICATION’ and click on it.

• HORTICET 2019 notification will get downloaded in pdf format.

• Therefore, candidates must ensure that Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed on their system.

• Open the downloaded pdf file.

• The candidate has to download the form from the website and then take a print out.

• The form is to be filled with either black or blue ballpoint pen.

• Applicants need to fill the application form correctly without any mistake as there are no correction options available for the applicants once the form is submitted.

• In case of wrong information provided, the form will be rejected by the Horticulture University.

• After filling the form the candidate has to send it to the Horticulture University along with the documents and Registration fees.

• Date of Birth Certificate.

• Attested copies of the marks statement of 10th standard and Diploma in Horticulture Course.

• Latest Conduct Certificate issued by the Head of the Institute last attended that he/she has never been found guilty of misconduct during the study period and never been fined or punished.

• Latest Caste Certificate (In case of SC/ST/BC’s) issued by the Mandal Revenue Officer.

• Certificates issued by the concerned authorities of State in the case of Special categories like Physically Disabled persons, NCC, SPORTS and CAP.

• Two Self addressed stamped envelopes (Rs.5/- postal stamp) (For sending the hall ticket).

• Three passport size photographs (pasted on the application form and Hall ticket).

• Original Demand draft for Rs. 650/- for General/BC candidates and for Rs.325/- (Rupees Three hundred and twenty five only) in case of SC/ST/Physically Disabled persons drawn in favour of “COMPTROLLER, Dr. Y.S.R HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, payable at TADEPALLIGUDEM” on any Nationalized Bank

HORTICET 2019 will be conducted on July 18, 2019 only at one examination center – College of Horticulture, Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University, Venkataramannagudem-534101, Near Tadepalligudem, West Godavari District

• Applicants will get one mark for each correct answer.

• No provision of Negative markings for the wrong Answer.

HORTICET 2019 Exam Day Instructions

• Candidates must bring the Admit card to the examination room. anyone who fails to do so will be prevented from taking the exam.

• It is advisable to have on hand a copy of the admit card, which can serve as a future reference.

• If any candidate failed to get Hall-Ticket he/she can take the Duplicate Hall Ticket by showing your ID card as proof.

• A candidate must bring his / her valid Original Documents like PAN, Aadhar, or any document issued by Govt with a photo.

• Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre at least 35 to 40 minutes before the scheduled time for commencement of the exam.

• Answers must be written in blue/black ink. Pencil or Sketch pen or ink of any other colour is not allowed.

• Candidates are not allowed to carry any baggage inside the Examination Centre.

• Candidates should not be in possession of any material listed in the list of prohibited material.

 Results Declared on: 

• The result will be available on the official website of the University after the examination i.e July.

• The results will be in the form of Merit List prepared by the University in which the names of Qualified Candidates will be enlisted.

 Procedure to check the result:

• Visit the official website of HORTICET 2019.

• Click on More Announcement tab on right hand pane of webpage.

• Under the announcement tab, Look for HORTICET – 2019 Rank List and click on it

• Rank list will be downloaded.

• The list will contain the Hall ticket No of Candidate, Name of Candidate, Name of Candidate’s Father and Rank secured by candidate.

HORTICET 2019 Tie Breaking

Methods 

 Tie Breaking:

In case, if more than one candidate secures the same rank then there are certain considerations that will be applied.

1. The percentage of aggregate marks secured in the qualifying examination i.e., OGPA in Diploma in Horticulture course.

2. If the tie still persists the date of birth of the concerned candidates shall be considered an elder one shall be given preference.

Counselling Procedure

• The process of counselling will begin after the result/Merit List declaration.

• Those candidates will be eligible for counselling, whose name is mentioned in the merit list.

• Candidates will have to carry the following documents while going for counselling.

• Application Form can only be submitted to the Registrar of DR. YSR University in person or by post till June 28^th, 2019 till 4 pm.

• No, the correction period will not be provided to students after the application form process finishes.

• All eligible candidates will receive admit card by post from the University. However, in case of candidate does not receive admit card by post, he/she can download it from the University’s official website.

• No there is no different in the hall ticket and admit card for Horticulture Common Entrance Test.

• You need to contact the conducting authorities immediately if you find any discrepancies in your Horticulture Common Entrance Test admit card.

• Exam will only be conducted only in DR. YSR Horticulture University and Research Institute.
