Educational Qualification for UGEE
  • Class 12 or equivalent qualifying Examination with an aggregate of 60% marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
Eligibility through Various Modes

For JEE Mains

 

  • Candidates must have qualified JEE Mains exam to be eligible for admission under this category.

 

DASA

  • Foreign Nationals, Non-Resident Indian (NRIs), Person of Indian Origin and Overseas citizen of India are eligible.
  • Candidates must have qualified 10+2 or equivalent from outside India by May 2019 and should have scored a minimum of 60% marks individually in Physics, Chemistry, and
  • Candidates must have qualified SAT and SAT Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum aggregate score of 2000 out of total 2400 marks.

 

SPEC or SAC Mode

  • Candidates must have posses an extraordinary talent such-
  • Selection in Central Government Scheme UDAAN.
  • Studying in a six-year integrated class 12th plus four years undergraduate program and completing the second year of study in May 2019.

 

Olympiads

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 and have selected for training in Science and Linguistics for representing Indian in International Olympiad.

 

NTSE-KVPY

  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 and have qualified NTSE or KVPY.

  • Click on ' Click Here for More Information' for UG Admissions.
  • Select the Undergraduate Entrance Exam.
  • UGEE this page gets displayed, below the page press 'Click Here to Apply', to apply online.

Steps to fill-Up in Online Application Form:

 

  • Click on 'Login' for already Registered candidates and 'Click Here' for New Registration.
  • Applicants will be redirected to a new login page.
  • Applicants are allowed to register and create a password by activating the link sent to the Mail Id Registered.
  • Candidates will have an option to fill the form and complete the processes entirely and save the form.
  • Candidates have to choose their preferred Test Centre.
  • Applicants will have to upload their Photograph, signature saving the details.
  • After uploading these documents, click on the "Submit" button.
  • Mode of Payment: Candidate can pay fees online through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.
  • After Payment, Take a print out of the application form and preserve for future reference.

Research Aptitude Test (REAP)  Section - II The syllabi for REAP is based on XI and XII level of Physics/Maths/Chemistry (CBSE and most state syllabi). However, REAP will have an emphasis on testing the critical and creative thinking abilities of an applicant.

IIITH UGEE 2019 Exam Day Instructions

The candidate must carry the Hall Ticket for entry in the examination room/hall. No candidate, under any circumstances, is allowed to attend examination 30 minutes after the commencement.
It is a computer based entrance test with multiple choice type questions. No candidate is allowed to carry any baggage inside the examination hall. 
Rough sheets and pens will be provided in the examination centre. A virtual onscreen calculator is available for use. No candidate will be allowed to leave the hall until the end of the examination.
Some questions may have more than one answer correct. Points will be given only when ALL the correct answers are marked and NONE of the incorrect is marked. Pens, Pencils, Notes, books, log tables, Calculators, any programmable devices, communication devices, any other electronic devices are strictly prohibited in the examination centre.
Approach the hall invigilator in the room for any technical assistance, first aid emergency or any other information during the course of the examination. No clarification will be provided during the examination.

IIITH UGEE 2019 Admission Procedure

Admission Procedure

Candidates can take admission at IIIT, Hyderabad through-

 

  • JEE Mode

Candidates can get admission on the basis of the JEE Main scores. Through this mode, candidates will get admission only into Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) programs.

 

  • UGEE Mode

Candidates can get admission into dual degree programs through UGEE. Admission will be based on candidate’s performance in the exam followed by an interview.

 
  • Olympiads Mode

Candidates who have represented India at any of the four Olympiads can apply for UGEE and will be directly called for interview. Such candidates are not required to take UGEE 2019 exam.

 

  • DASA Mode

Foreign candidates can apply directly through Direct Admission for Students Abroad (DASA) channel for admission in IIIT, Hyderabad.

 

  • SCA Mode

Candidates with extraordinary talent can apply through Special Channel of Admission (SCA) for admission in ECE/CSE programs.

Is branch change allowed?

Branch change is allowed between CSE and ECE after 1st year, subject to the condition that the total numbers in each branch are within 10% (plus or minus) of sanctioned strength.

The Change between 4-year and dual degree is not permitted.

What is the eligibility to get into any of the above programs? The Dual Degree program is a premium program and should be a first choice to the best Scores(Marks) in JEE(Main) exam. In just five years you get two degrees and best of the opportunities for work and studies.
Is IIIT, Hyderabad participating in JEE (Main) -2019? International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad is not participating in CSAB counselling (JEE (Main) -2019). IIIT, Hyderabad offers B.Tech. admissions through Institute portal using JEE(Main) 2019 Marks.
Is there a Dual Degree Program for ECE students? Yes, there is. It has the same characteristics as the Dual Degree Program for ECE students in terms of requirements and objectives.
When does one have to choose the field of specialisation for the Dual Degree Program? At the end of the second year.
12th marks have not been announced for my board. What should I do? Please leave the fields blank where 12th marks details are asked in phase I form if your results are not yet announced. You can fill these details in phase II form.
Which category of +2 can apply for CLD/EHD programme?

1. Science with mathematics can apply.

2. Social sciences with mathematics (for example Economics with mathematics).

3. Any arts (like dance, drama, music) with mathematics.

In case there is a large number of applicants shortlisted applicants will be called for written test and interview.

 No, Completing application phases does not guarantee that a seat is reserved for you. Allocation of the seat will depend on the number of people who have better JEE(Main) Marks than yours.
