Educational Qualification

To be eligible for Admission, a candidate must fulfil the following conditions:-

• The candidate must have earned BTech/BE/MSc/Equivalent Degree in any discipline.

• The applicant must have already earned BTech/BE/MSc or, at least, should be in the final year of the respective studies.

• In the latter case, it would be assumed that the candidate will be able to complete the degree by the time of M-Tech admission.

• For admission via Mode R1, the candidate should also have a valid GATE score from CS/EC/EE/MA/ST.

• For having complete eligibility to apply for admission via Mode R2, the candidate must have a CGPA score no lower than 8.

• SC, ST and OBC candidates will be provided relaxation as per the standard GOI norm.

M.Tech Online Application Procedure For Gate Qualified/IITH Sponsored:

Step 1 - Registration:

Our Registration Page will ask you to provide a valid login id, email address and password. Please note that we will use this email address for further communication with you. Click Here to Register.

 

Step 2 - Login into our System:

Please Provide the login id and password which you had chosen at the time of Registration with our system. (Whenever you login first time our system will ask you for the secret key which you received through the email at the time of registration).

Click on the link 'Click here to apply' and Choose the department by clicking on the arrow of the corresponding department

 

Step 4

Fill or update your application details by clicking on appropriate arrows. Please note that once you fill or update the information in the appropriate form you need to click on either save/submit button so that your data will be stored in our system.

 

Note: Please delete the row wherever it is not applicable to you by clicking on the symbol '' which is at the right end of the row.

 

 

Step 5 - Application Fee:

 

• All GEN/OBC: Rs.300/-

• All SC/ST/PWD: Rs.150/-

• All Females: Rs.150/-

 

Payment Procedure:

We are accepting fee through SBI-Collect.

At the time of paying the fee please save the reference document you received from the bank.

 

• Save 'SBCollect Reference Number' in Payment Reference Number column of Application Fee Page.

• Upload the reference document by clicking the link provided in Checklist page

Step 6

Submit your application by clicking on the 'Submit Application' button. Unless You submit the application by pressing the above button your application will not be considered.

 

Step 7

After submission, you should take a printout of your application by clicking on the 'Print Application' button.

 

Step 8

If you are called for the Written test/Interview you need to carry all your documents, a printout of your application (Which you will receive through email after the last date of submission), payment reference document and certificates with you.

 

Step 9

One can apply to several departments. If you want to apply to several departments you need to fill a separate application for each department you want to apply. To fill your application for the department "XYZ" first log in to our system and choose "XYZ" in the list of department names. Please note that you need to fill all your details for each department. Please note that you need to pay the application fee separately for each department.

 

Step 10

You can keep on updating your application, upload the payment reference document and photo till the last date.

 

Step 11

"Incomplete application will not be accepted".

• In any circumstances application fee is non-refundable.

There is No Separate Entrance Exam for getting admissions into IIT Hyderabad M.Tech Admission 2019.

So, there is No Exam Pattern also for this Exam.

Modes of Admission to the M-Tech Program:

There are two modes via which a candidate can take admission to a regular M-Tech program.

• Mode R1: With a GATE score.

• Mode R2: With a B-Tech degree from any IIT.

• For admission to the program via Mode RI or R2, there will be a preliminary shortlisting depending upon the GATE score and/or the academic background.

• Candidates who satisfy the shortlisting cutoff need to appear for a written test and/or an Interview.

• The department reserves the right to set any cutoff for the shortlisting of M-Tech applications.

• In addition, the department has the right not to select anybody if no appropriate candidates are found.

Mode 1:

Admissions to M.Tech programmes at IIT Hyderabad will be done based on candidates performance in GATE 2019.

Mode 2:

The candidates who have passed B.Tech from any of the IIT with a CGPA of 8 will be eligible for different admission to IIT Hyderabad M.Tech 2019. Such candidates will be exempted from giving the GATE.

Apart from applying through the IIT Hyderabad admission portal, candidates will have to simultaneously apply through Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) for accepting admission offers.

It is mandatory for all candidates to apply through both the channels.
