National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the JEE Main April exam 2020 that was scheduled for April 5,7,9 and 11. The fresh schedule for JEE Main 2020 will be released on March 31. The JEE Main admit card 2020 that was scheduled to be released on March 20 has also been delayed till March 31.
The Joint Entrance Examination, (JEE) Main 2020 is organized to offer interested candidates in Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs) located across the country. JEE Main 2020 Paper-1 evaluates applicants who wish to pursue BE / BTech in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs. This exam is also the eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which is the entrance exam to ensure admission to programs offered by 21 IITs and Indian School of Mines (ISM).
Every year CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) organized JEE Main 2020, but from 2019 onwards a new organization known as NTA ( National Testing Agency) has taken the responsibility to conduct JEE Main 2020 Exam.
JEE Main 2020 January Session will be conducted from 06 January 2020 to 11 January 2020. The JEE Main 2020 April Session is scheduled from 03 April 2020 to 09 April 2020. No age limit for JEE Main 2020.
The candidates who have passed XII examination in 2017, 2018, 2019 or appearing in 2020 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) Examination – 2020. |
2. | Educational Qualifications |
i) Candidates who have passed their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2018 or 2019; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2020 are eligible to appear in both January 2020 and April 2020 - JEE Main 2020.
ii) Candidates who passed Class 12th/ Qualifying examination in 2017 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2021 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE Main 2020.
Note: Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/ qualifying examination in order to be eligible for writing JEE Main - 2020. |
