The candidates who are willing to apply for KTET 2019 must go through the below-listed eligibility criteria set by the examination conducting body.

As there are 4 different categories, the educational qualification related eligibility is mentioned category wise.

• There is no age limit given for taking the test.

• Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary or (or it's equivalent) with at least 45% marks and two years Trained Teachers’ Certificate TTC / DEd conducted by Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent.

OR

• Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with NCTE

OR

• Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

OR

• Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

• Other Equivalent qualification.

• B.A/B.Sc./ B.Com. and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education/ Trained Teachers’ Certificate TTC/ DEd [by whatever name known] conducted by Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent.

OR

• B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) regulations.

OR

• Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

OR

• Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed or B.Sc.Ed.

OR

• Other Equivalent qualification.

• BA/ BSc/ B.Com with at least 45% marks and a B.Ed. Degree in the subject concerned (from any one of the Universities in Kerala or have acquired these qualifications from any other recognized Universities).

OR

• For Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, those who have MSc.Ed. Degree in the subject concerned with not less than 50% marks from one of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT will be eligible to apply. For Botany and Zoology subjects, those with MSc.Ed. Degree in Life Science with not less than 50% marks from any of the Regional Institutes of Education is eligible to apply.

OR

• BA or equivalent with at least 45% marks and who passed in LTTC are eligible to apply.

OR

• Other Equivalent qualification.

Those who have acquired qualifications for the posts of Language Teachers of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit & Urdu (up to Upper Primary level), Specialist teachers & Physical Education teachers as mentioned in Chapter XXXI of KERALA EDUCATION ACT AND RULES are eligible to apply for K-TET- IV

KTET 2019 Online Application Process

Steps to fill-Up in Online Application Process:

• Visit the official website of the  KTET 2019.

• Click on 'Click Here' besides New Registration November 2019. 

• Click on 'New Registration', read instructions, enable the checkboxes, then again on 'Click Here for New Registration'.

• Fill the name, address and other details and choose the test centre of your choice, to get your Application Number.

• Sign In using Application Number and Other details to complete the process.

• Upload your scanned passport size photo and scanned signature.

• Then, it will redirect you to the payment screen.

• Mode of Payment: Payment for the application is through Online/ Offline by Debit/ Credit/ Online Banking.

• Press the Save & Print button to get a printout of the Confirmation Page.

• It is not possible to modify the data after Save & Print.

• Preserve the copy of the online application for future reference till the end of admissions.

• KTET 2019 Application Fee is non-refundable in any case.

Availability of Hall Ticket:

KTET Admission Ticket 2019 will be available to download in the Official Website from 25 October 2019.

Download Procedure:

• Candidates should Log - into the KTET Official Website 

• Enter Application Number, Date of Birth and Click on Submit.

• Upon successful log-in, the hall ticket will be displayed on a screen.

• Download and take a printout.

• PWD Certificate

Acceptable ID’s include (must be original, valid and nonexpired)–Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhar card, etc.

Note: Candidates should not bring any material with them except the Hall Ticket, Black/ Blue Ball Point Pen.

Use of calculators, log tables and slide ruler, watches with facilities of calculator, and cellular phones are strictly prohibited for the test.

KTET Answer Key 2019 for KTET Category I,  KTET Category II,  KTET Category III &  KTET Category IV will be released tentatively in December 2019.

KTET Exam Results will be available on the official website of KTET 2019 from January 2020.

Procedure to check the Result

Step 1: Visit the KTET Official Website

Step 2: candidate should Navigate Results Tab.

Step 3: Enter their Application Number/ Roll Number and Click on Search.

Step 4: Upon Successful Login, the online Score-Card for KTET 2019 will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Download it for further use.

Cut Off Procedure

The Cut Off of KTET exam will depend on many factors such as previous years cut-off, number of applicants, overall performance. Some of the factors are mentioned below:

• Number of Candidates appeared in the exam.

• No of candidates qualify the exam.

• Level of difficulty of the question paper.

• No. of the vacancy in the exam.

• Cut Off may also be sectional wise.

• Participants selection process will be done based on the performance of the KTET Entrance Exam conducted by the Kerala State Government.

• Participants will be shortlisted by marks scored in the Entrance Exam.

• Participants also have to go for Final Round Personal Interview

• The KTET certificate will be provided to those candidates who will be qualifying the KTET 2019 test by the Secretary, Pareeksha Bhavan, Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram on behalf of Govt. of Kerala, after verification of the original educational qualification certificates by the DEO’s concerned.

• The candidates who will be applying for more than one category will receive separate certificates from the government.

• The certificate will be provided to the candidates on the allotted date and time by the government.
