 LPU NEST 2020 Eligibility

Nationality

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for LPUNEST (B.Tech.)

Qualifying Examination 

Applicants appearing for LPUNEST (B.Tech.) should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2020, in final examination of 10+2 from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination 

Pass with 60%* aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)# subject to qualifying LPUNEST (B.Tech.)

• 5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants.

• 10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons (i.e. A/ A+ category as per Sports Scholarship), Subject to verification from Selection committee^ of the University.

Note: - In case the applicant falls in both categories, then only one relaxation in eligibility will be given.

Selection committee will be comprising of Head (DSW), Director Sports, Dy. Director Sports, Concerned Coach and VC Nominee.

For B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT), B.Tech. (Food Technology), B.Tech. (Biomedical Engineering). 

Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, English & either Maths or Biology or Biotechnology; other things remaining same as above.

For B.Tech. Chemical Engineering (CHE) and  B.Tech. (Petroleum Engineering):

Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English; other things remaining same as above.

LPU NEST 2020 B. Tech Application

LPU NEST 2020 Application Process

Application Form:

• Application form will be in a format that can be processed by Optical Mark Reader (OMR).

• Cost of LPUNEST (B.Tech.) Kit (Application Form) is ₹ 800 (for Boys) and ₹ 500 (for Girls). Application fee once paid will not be refunded.

Application forms can be obtained and submitted using one of the following methods:

Option-I: Without Purchasing LPUNEST (B.Tech.) Kit

Applicant can apply for LPUNEST (B.Tech.) without purchasing LPUNEST (B.Tech.) Kit.

• Online Application: Apply through the University Website (Online Banking facility required).
  • Fill the application form. Click Here to apply.
  • Pay ₹800 (for Boys) and ₹ 500 (for Girls) online when prompted.

Note: For online application, Applicant should have Online Banking facility through Net banking / Debit card / Credit card.

• Printout of the computer generated application should be retained by the applicant for reference.

Option-II: After Purchasing LPUNEST (B.Tech.) Kit:

Applicant may obtain LPUNEST (B.Tech.) Kit from University Campus or any other prescribed place by paying cash. Once the applicant has obtained the LPUNEST (B.Tech.) Kit, form can be submitted by one of the following methods:

• Manual:
  • Fill the full application form (OMR sheet) after reading all the instructions as specified under the head “Instructions for filling Application Form (OMR sheet)” and sent it to the university in the self-addressed envelope.

• Semi-Online Application - In case applicant does not want to send the hard copy of purchased application form:
  
  • Fill the application form. Click Here to apply.
  • When asked, Click "Yes" if you have purchased the LPUNEST (B.Tech.) Kit. Fill the OMR sheet No. and Unique OMR code, in the given space.
  • Submit and save the copy of complete application form for your reference.

Note:

• All our correspondence including centre booking and issue of Hall Ticket details will be through email only.

• Therefore, the applicants are requested to get ready with valid email id and mobile number for contact.

• No separate communication will be done for the same.

Incomplete Applications:

• Incomplete application (For example: Declaration not signed) will not be processed.

• LPU will not take responsibility to inform these applicants.

• Such applicants will not be able to access the Online Slot Management.

• Applicants are hence advised to ensure that the duly filled in application is dispatched along with complete enclosures in all respects.

Scholarship

LPU Scholarship:

• The objective of the scheme is to realize the vast talents that may be hidden due to financial constraints.

On the basis of performance in LPUNEST (B.Tech.):

• The categories of scholarship are based upon performance in LPUNEST (B.Tech.).

LPU NEST 2020 B.Tech Admit Card

Process for downloading the Hall Ticket:

• For Applicants who booked their test slot themselves: The Hall Ticket will be generated immediately after the applicant books the slot through the online slot booking system.

• For Applicants whose test slot is booked by the University: The Hall Ticket will be generated after 48 hrs. of receiving of application form and will be made available on the website.

• However all application received before the start date of the slot booking will be processed only when Online Slot Management will be activated.

• Applicants must provide valid email ID in the application form.

Admit Card

 Download Procedure:

• visit the official website of LPU NEST 2020.

• Log-in to the portal using applicant User ID and Password.

• Upon successful log-in, the Admit cards will be displayed on the screen.

• Download and print  LPU NEST 2020 admit card.

• The Hall Ticket will indicate the address of the test centre, test date, time allotted to the applicant and regulations.

• Discrepancies, if any, must be brought to our notice of university immediately at lpunest@lpu.co.in

• The duration of the test is 150 minutes (2 hrs. 30 min.)

• Applicants can opt for either English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology.

• There will be no negative marking for wrong answers or unanswered questions.

LPU NEST 2020 Identification Documents

Test day Requirements

• One Passport Size Photo

• PWD Certificate

Acceptable ID’s include (must be original, valid and nonexpired)–Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhar card, etc.

Note: Candidates should not bring any material with them except the Hall Ticket, Black/ Blue Ball Point Pen.

Use of calculators, log tables and slide ruler, watches with facilities of calculator, and cellular phones are strictly prohibited for the test.

LPU NEST 2020 Results

Exam Result Date

Candidate Test Results will be available on the official website of LPU NEST 2020 from 31 January 2020 for January Session & 30 April 2020 for April Session.

Procedure to check the Result

Step 1: Visit the Official Website of LPU NEST.

Step 2: candidate should Navigate Rank Card tab.

Step 3: Enter their Application Number/ Hall Ticket Number, date of birth and Log In.

Step 4: Upon Successful Login, the online Score-Card for LPU NEST 2020 will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Download it for further use.

Cut Off Procedure

The Cut Off of LPU NEST exam will depend on many factors such as previous years cut-off, number of applicants, overall performance. Some of the factors are mentioned below:

• Number of Candidates appeared in the exam.

• No of candidates qualify the exam.

• Level of difficulty of the question paper.

• No. of the vacancy in the exam.

• Cut Off may also be sectional wise.

LPU NEST 2020 Counselling Process

 Counselling Process

After declaration of result, Online Counselling and Seat Allocation for both schedule I and II will start from 30th April 2020 onwards within the prescribed time limit.

Based on the student’s preference, the seat will be allocated.

After the seat is allocated, the applicant needs to deposit the fee through Online Mode or manually by visiting the University Campus/ Camp Office.

• Get your scorecard/ rank.

• Fill the seat preference.

• The student can give a number of preferences which can vary in stream and program. (depending upon the choice of discipline).

• The applicant will be allotted a particular programme in the first round of counselling, based upon the availability of seat and preferences filled by the applicant.

• Note: After the first round of the counseling, the upgradations of the allotted seats may be done or vacant seats may be filled in subsequent rounds.

• Download the allotment letter.

• Deposit initial payment of Rs. 10000/- (Application fee: Rs 500. Rest under Programme Fee of first semester.) to confirm the seat.

• Complete the Admission form.

• Upload the documents.

• Date of Birth proof (Matric certificate, PAN card, Aadhaar card)
• 10+2 Pass Certificate. In case the 10+2 certificate is not available at the time of filling this application form (recently appeared), it may be submitted later on also.

• All the submitted documents are to be verified from the originals within the prescribed timelines.

• Deposit the balance fee within the timelines prescribed by the university.

• The same will be mentioned on the online interface used for online counseling.

• Note: Round - III will be conducted, only if seats remain vacant.

LPU NEST 2020 Counselling Required Documents

• LPU NEST Admit Card 2020.

• LPU NEST Score Card 2020.

• Category Certificate(if Applicable).

• Passport Size photograph.

• For admission in B.Tech, B.Tech, Integrated B.Tech - M.Tech and Integrated B.Tech - MBA, applicants should at least have 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English).

• For B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT), B.Tech. (BT - Food Technology), B.Tech. Biotechnology (Hons.), Integrated B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT) - M.Tech., Integrated B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT) - MBA and Integrated B.Tech. (BT - Food Technology) - MBA, the subjects considered are Physics, Chemistry, English & Maths or Biology or Biotechnology, with 60% aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent.

Online Application: Apply through the University Website.

Purchasing LPUNEST (B.Tech.) Kit

The Applicant may obtain LPU NEST (B.Tech.) Kit from University Campus or any other prescribed place by paying cash.

Once the applicant has obtained the LPU NEST (B.Tech.) Kit, the form can be submitted by one of the following methods:

Manual:

Filled in the application form and send it to the university in the self-addressed envelope.

Semi-Online Application :

Fill the OMR sheet No. and Unique OMR code in the Online.

Availability of Admit Card:

• Admit Cards for LPU NEST 2020 will be available to the Candidates from December/ April 2020.

Slot Booking:  

• The Admit Card will be generated immediately after the applicant books the slot through the online slot booking system.

• Test Slot will be reserved within 48 hours of getting the LPU NEST 2020 Application form.

i. LPU NEST 2020 Results will be published on the LPU NEST 2020 Result Date, i.e. 31st January 2020 for Schedule I.

ii. For Schedule-II, the Results will be published on the LPU NEST 2020 official website on 30th April 2020.

iii. Candidates should download their scorecard and preserve it for future reference

How Can I get Admission in LPU?

You need to fulfil the eligibility criteria which is passed with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST or JEE Mains.

In case marks scored in 10+2 are 90% or above, then LPU NEST or JEE Mains will be exempted and the candidate may apply for admission.
