To be considered for admission, the candidate needs to meet the category and branch-wise cutoff of MP PPT 2020 that will be determined for the various participating institutes. In case the candidate misses the Madhya Pradesh Pre-Polytechnic Cutoff 2020, their chances of admission will go down.

Since the cutoff of MP PPT 2020 (MP Polytechnic) will be prepared based on variables like a number of seats available for candidates, applications received for admission, and also the reputation of the institute, the category would vary from branch to branch, and also for different categories.

MP PPT 2020 - Counselling Schedule

MP PPT 2020 Counselling:

After the MP PPT 2020 results announcement, candidates will be called for the counselling process. Only those candidates will be able to participate in the counselling process that will be shortlisted in the merit list. The complete details of counselling will be provided on the website.

Seats will be allotted to the candidates as per the availability of seats, reservation criteria, marks obtained by students in the entrance test etc.

MP PPT Counselling 2020:

MP PPT 2020 entrance exam is conducted for admission to diploma engineering courses offered by polytechnic institutes in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The state-level entrance exam is conducted in online mode. The detailed counselling process of MP PPT 2020 is discussed below.

Counselling process of MP PPT 2020 (MP Polytechnic)

• Registration

• Choice filling and payment of counselling and postal fee

• Allotment of Seats

Step 1 - Registration

To participate in the MP PPT 2020 counselling process, the candidate needs to register only once. Registration can be done using either MP PPT 2020 entrance exam or qualifying exam marks. Also, Aadhaar details will be needed to register. 

The information provided by the candidate, including that of the qualifying exam, passed, marks and percentage obtained, roll number, Aadhaar number, category, etc.,  will be verified by the Board online itself.

Step 2 - Document Verification

In case the online document verification process is successful, the candidate will be issued Document Verification certificate. 

However, if the verification process is incomplete or unsuccessful, the candidate will have to report at designated document verification centres to complete the document verification process. All such candidates will be issued Registration Certificates only. They will have to produce the Registration certificate at the centre, along with all the originals and photocopies of all necessary documents. Post successful verification, the candidate will become eligible for choice filling.

Step 3 - Choice filling and payment of a counselling-cum-portal fee

The candidate will be able to select minimum 25 and maxim all available options ( combination of college and branch) during online choice filling. The choices should be entered in the order or priority. To lock the entered choices, the candidate will also have to pay the applicable counselling fee, which is mentioned in the table below. 

MP PPT 2020 Counselling Fee

The allotment of seats will be based on the choices opted by the candidate and also his or her merit rank. Candidates who are allotted seats will be issued Seat Allotment Letters, which have to be produced at the time of reporting at the allotted institute. The allotment letter can be downloaded by logging into one’s applicant account. 

There is also a provision for online upgradation, if the candidate is not happy with the allotted seat. Upon upgradation, such candidates will be issued new Seat Allotment Letters.

Yes. MP PPT is conducted for admissions to all Polytechnic courses offered by MPPBE. Once you clear the exam, you may apply to any of your choice of course. However, you must fulfil the minimum MP PPT eligibility criteria for that course.
