Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) is a National Level Entrance Exam conducted by Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor Degree programme in Design (B. Des.) at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG), Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH), and Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur (IIITDMJ) must appear in UCEED Entrance Exam.
UCEED 2020 Exam will be conducted on 18th January 2020 through online mode only. The candidates who are eligible can apply for the exam. The Application Form will be available on the official website from 9th October 2020. Check out UCEED 2020 Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Pattern etc.

UCEED 2020 - Eligibility Criteria |
A candidate, including a foreign national, must fulfil each and every one of the following three criteria to appear in UCEED 2020 CRITERION 1 – AGE LIMIT: The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 1995 if belonging to the OPEN/ EWS/ OBC-NCL category and on or after October 1, 1990 if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category. CRITERION 2 – NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS: A candidate can attempt UCEED for a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years. Note that UCEED score is valid for one year, and only for admissions in the corresponding academic year. CRITERION 3 – QUALIFYING EXAMINATION: The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2019, OR appearing in 2020. Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.
Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination in 2018 or earlier are NOT eligible. |

How to check the UCEED Results 2020?

UCEED 2020 - Seat Allotment |
Three rounds of seat allocation will be conducted. However, once the seats are filled, the seat allocation will be closed. Seats will be allotted based on the applicant UCEED rank, category and choice of institutes. Selected candidates will be sent provisional allotment letters via their registered email, and will be directed to an online payment system to remit the Seat Acceptance Fee of Rs. 60,000 (Sixty Thousand Indian Rupees) for GEN and OBC-NCL and Rs. 15,000/- for SC/ST/PwD.

My birth date is only a few days/weeks/months/years short of the age eligibility criteria. Can you make an exemption for me? | No. |
I appeared for UCEED 2019 but did not qualify. Can I appear for UCEED 2020? |
Yes, you can, provided you meet the age and year of passing qualification certificate criteria as mentioned. However, do note that a candidate can attempt UCEED for a maximum of two times only and that too in consecutive years and that the UCEED score is valid only for admissions in the corresponding academic year. |
I am an OBC candidate. Can I apply under the OBC category? |
There is NO reservation under the OBC category. ONLY OBC candidates with the NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate can apply under the OBC-NCL category (Refer to point 15 below). OBC candidates WITHOUT the NCL certificate must apply under the OPEN category. |

If you do not have a birth certificate you can upload a copy of passport or copy of Aadhaar Card or copy of X class mark sheet/ school leaving certificate showing your date of birth. |
What is the last date for submission of the form? | The last date for submission of the form is 09.11.2019. |
I cannot get a valid OBC-NCL certificate before the application deadline. Can I upload my OBC certificate instead? |
No. Applications under the OBC-NCL category without the valid certificate will be rejected, just as any other application under their respective reserved categories will be rejected without the valid certificate. |

No, there is no provision for sending the UCEED to admit card by post. UCEED admit card will be available online, and candidates will have to download and take a print copy of their UCEED hall ticket. |

Yes, candidates should take a coloured print out of their UCEED admit card and carry the same to the exam centre. |
