 For Examination Pathway: 

• Candidates must have at least 50% in class X and XII to apply for the UPES B.Des 2020 program.

Non-Exam Pathway:

Board Merit:

• Candidates must have at least 65% in class X and XII (Any Stream) to apply for UPES DAT 2019 program.

                                               (or)

UCEED: 

• Candidates must have at least 50% in class  X and XII with valid JEE MAIN/ UCEED scores.

M.Des Eligibility

• Minimum 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary Level (10th & 12th)

• Des/ B. Tech/ BE in any discipline/ B. Arch/ BFA 4 years with minimum 50% marks.

• Valid CEED 2018 or 2019 score or valid UPES Design Aptitude Test (UPES – DAT) score followed by Personal Interview and presentation on the work portfolio.

 CEED 2020 Criteria:

• Candidates who secure a CEED score of 40.5 and above are exempted from the UPES-DAT test and will be directly invited for the Portfolio Presentation and Personal Interview.

 Availability of Admit Card:

Admit Card will be issued to eligible applicants a few days before the entrance test i.e April 2020. All admit cards will be published online.

 Admit Card Download Procedure: 

 Step 1: Applicants should visit the UPES official website.

 Step 2: Applicants need to click on the link for the admit card.

 Step 3: Applicants now enter their UPES DAT 2020 application number and date of birth.

 Step 4: Download the UPES DAT 2020 admit card and print it. 

Correct Answer: +4 marks will be awarded to candidates for marking every correct answer.

Incorrect Answer: -2 marks for every incorrect option.

UPES DAT 2020 Identification Documents

Test day Requirements

• One Passport Size Photo

• PWD Certificate

Acceptable ID’s include (must be original, valid and nonexpired)–Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhar card, etc.

Note: Candidates should not bring any material with them except the Hall Ticket, Black/Blue Ball Point Pen.

Use of calculators, log tables and slide ruler, watches with facilities of calculator, and cellular phones are strictly prohibited for the test.

UPES DAT 2020 Results

UPES DAT 2020 Result will be declared by June 2020.

The list of shortlisted candidates for B.Des/ M.Des programs will be declared at the official website of the university.

Procedure to check the result:

Step 1: Applicant has to go through the official website of UPES DAT.

Step 2: Link on the link "result"

Step 3: Enter the Enrollment No/ Registration Number and Date of Birth and then click on Show Result.

Step 4: The online Scorecard for UPES DAT 2020 will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Download it and take its print out which will be used at the time of Counselling.

Note: If any mistake finds in the result card immediately contact the reasonable centre.

UPES DAT 2020 Cut Off

• UPES will announce the cut off of UPES DAT 2020 for admissions to B.Des courses for the session 2020-21 soon after the declaration of the result.

• Candidates need to secure the cut off marks or minimum percentage of marks required for admissions to B.Des and M.Des courses offered by UPES.

• Those who secure the minimum cut off are called for the counselling process.

• The UPES DAT 2020 deadline is the minimum number of points that candidates must obtain in order to be taken into account in the subsequent admission process.

The UPES DAT 2020 cut-off depends on various factors like:

• The number of available seats.

• The number of candidates appearing for the exam.

• Average marks obtained by the candidates.

• Level of complexity of examination.

• The Average score of the candidates in each category.

• Bring your hand-drawn sketches using simple pencils, markers/ coloured pencils or any other medium such as charcoal, natural dyes, etc.

• You can showcase your photography skills and presentation of images that you have clicked OR If you have experimented with digital media - Draw, sketch, and render using digital media, tools, and techniques (2D, 3D).

Model

• Bring any physical model/ prototype - that is, something made of clay, plastic, wood, cardboard, etc

Experiment/ Creative skills

• Apart from the above, you can also import everything you have experimented on to express/ taste your creative skills.

Certificates

• Candidates may bring any certificate of appreciation or participation related to art and creativity.

Sketches

• Applicants must bring a collection of hand-drawn drawings, sketches and renderings using different techniques and media, including coloUr markers and coloured pencils.
