Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University Admission Test (SAAT) 2020 is a National Level Entrance Examination for admission into various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses. SAAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses | |
Courses | Qualification and Age Limit |
B.Tech |
Pass/ appearing in the 12th or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics (compulsory subjects) along with one of the Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Informatics/ Statistics/ Technical Vocational Subject or any other subject.
Candidates have to secure at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ ST/ OBC category) in the above examination. |
B. Pharm |
10+2 passed/ appearing with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) and or Biology (PCB/ PCMB.) as optional subjects are individual.
Candidates have to secure passing marks individually in all the subjects mentioned above. |
B.Sc in Agriculture |
Minimum qualification required is 12th passed/ appearing with PCM/ PCB/ PCMB subjects combination. Must have passed in English 10+2 examination
Candidates have to pass the qualifying examination with not less than 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ ST/ PH candidates).
The minimum age limit is 17 years as on 31st December 2019. |
BHMCT | Passed/ appearing 10+2 in any discipline with at least 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates). |
BBA | Passed/ appearing 10+2 in any stream from a recognized institution. |
B.Sc in Nursing (Basic) |
The prescribed qualification is 12th passed/ appearing with at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC) taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Pass 12th exam with English subjects.
The lower age limit is 17 years as on 31st December 2019. |
BBA.LL.B. (Hons.) |
Passed/ appearing 12th examination in any stream by attaining 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ ST & 42% for OBC).
No upper age limit.
CLAT/ LSAT qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test, but they have to fill-up the form. |

Candidates have to secure at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.
GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test, but they have to the fillup the form.
Admission into M.Tech. programmes will be done on the basis of performance in SAAT-2020 or valid GATE score. |
MCA |
Passed/ appearing 3-years bachelor degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates).
Candidates must have studied Mathematics at 10+2 or 10+2+3 level.
Candidates having Business mathematics at +2 or +3 level are not eligible. |
MCA (LE) |
The prescribed qualification for this course is 3-years BCA, B.Sc in Information Technology and B.Sc in Computer Science with at least 60% aggregate marks. |
MBA/ MHM/ MHA/ MTTM |
Passed/ appearing bachelor’s degree with not less than 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates). |
M.Sc in Nursing |
The prescribed qualification is B.Sc Nursing (Basic/ Post Basic) passed with at least 55% aggregate marks.
Candidate should have one year experience as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife. |
LL.M. | Passed/ appearing Bachelor degree in law or studied integrated law courses. |
M.Pharm |
Passed/ appearing B.Pharm examination with at least 55% marks.
GPAT qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test, but they have to fill up the forms. |

Acceptable ID’s include (must be original, valid and nonexpired)–passport/ ration card/ voter ID card/ Aadhar card/ driving license/ PAN card/ College ID card.
Note: Candidates appearing for pen-and-paper based test should carry a black/ blue pen and pencil.
Candidates appearing for CBT Test are NOT allowed to carry Instrument/ Geometry/ Pencil box, Any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material) or electronic gadgets etc., in the Examination Room/ Hall. |

· Candidates are advised not to carry ballpoint pens, pencil, and eraser for Online Exam & Candidates appearing for pen-and-paper based test should carry a black/ blue pen and pencil. |
· The Applied candidate shall not be allowed to enter the examination hall after the examination starts. |
· The SAAT will be held at different centres as per the schedule. The medium of examination is English. |
. The Hall Ticket is not transferable to any other person. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence. |
· Candidates are advised to carry admit card, ID Proof compulsorily to enter into the examination hall. |
. Candidate should not do any kind of Malpractice while the exam for which he/she shall be debarred. |
· The Hall Ticket is an important document. It should be preserved and produced at the time of counselling and admission. |
· Do not carry any extra bag or luggage as there might not be a provision to keep the belongings safely. |
