Introduction

Symbiosis Entrance Test or SET is a university level entrance test for UG courses offered by SIU affiliated institutes.From 2019 onwards SET - Law test is known as Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT), SET - Design test known as Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), SET - Engineering as SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE) and SET - General as SET. These are conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across various cities of India. SET 2019 will be conducted on Saturday May 04, 2019.

Pass/ Appearing 12th (10+2) examination with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST candidates).

BCA

Pass 12th standard examination or equivalent/Diploma in Engineering/Technology with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST candidates).

Passed 12th or equivalent examination with 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST).

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) 2019 Eligibility for FN/PIO/OCI/NRI

Foreign National (FN)

Passed 10+2 examination and with a minimum of 45% marks (40% reserved category) (On basis of JEE Score).

Person of Indian Origin (PIO)

As per the Government of India notification dated 9th January 2015, all the existing Persons of Indian Origin cardholders registered as such shall be deemed to be Overseas Citizens of India cardholders..

Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)

Pass 12th standard examination or equivalent/ Diploma in Engineering/ Technology with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST candidates).

Non Resident Indian (NRI)

A student is eligible to apply as a Non Resident Indian (NRI) if he/ she has appeared for either 10th or 10+2 (equivalent to the Indian 10th or 12th) examination outside India. It is mandatory for NRI students who have appeared for their 10th standard exam outside India and 12th in India to appear for the following exams as applicable.

  • Application for SET-2019 must be filled through online mode only.There is no Printed application form available.Candidates must furnish their information carefully.

 

  • Applicants those who are eligible and interested can apply online through the official website.

 

  Steps to Apply online.

 

  • Register online on the official website (from January 24, 2019 to April 15, 2019).

 

   Note: 

 

  • Any Changes in the online application form (except test city preferences and  admission category) will be entertained only up to the closing date of Registration i.e. April 15, 2019. No changes shall be permitted after closing date under any circumstances.

 

  • No requests for change of test city or category will be entertained once candidates have completed their Online SET/ SLAT/ SEED/ SITEEE 2019 payment.

 

  • You may register for one paper in the morning (for example, SET-Law (SLAT) or SET-Design (SEED).

 

  • one paper in the afternoon session (for example, SET-General (SET) or SET-Engineering (SITEEE).

 

  Note:

 

 For Engineering, if a candidate applies to seek admission on the basis of test other than SITEEE, he/ she need not register for the same; rather he/she may apply directly to the concerned institute.

 

  • Upload your latest scanned colour passport size photo at the time of Online Registration. (Your photograph should not be more than 3 months old).

 

  • Online payment should be made through credit/ debit or net banking option.

 

  • Ensure that the information you have filled is accurate.

  • Admit Card along with Photo Identity proof should be carried to the Test Centre at the time of the test. An acceptable photo identity is any one of the following.

  • SET/ SLAT/ SEED/ SITEEE 2019 Admit Card should be printed (color printouts only. B&W printouts will not be accepted) from the SET website [set-test.org] which will be available from Saturday, April 20, 2019, till Saturday, May 04, 2019.

 

  • If candidate has selected both the sessions (morning and afternoon) they should carry two different Admit Cards - one is for morning session and second is for afternoon session.

 

  • For the Morning Session (Law and Design Test) reach the test centre latest by 7.30 a.m to allow for sufficient time for biometric data capture at the test centre. The test will start at 9.30 a.m. After 09.45 a.m.no candidate will be allowed to appear for the Morning Session Exams.

 

  • For the Afternoon Session (General and Engineering Test) reach the test centre latest by 12:30 p.m to allow for sufficient time for biometric data capture at the test centre.The test will start at 2:30 p.m. After 02.45 p.m.no candidate will be allowed to appear for the Afternoon Session Exams.

 

  • Please ensure that your latest passport size, colour photograph is pasted on the Admit Card at the place provided for before appearing for the test (Your photograph should not be more than 3 months old)

 

  • A candidate must bring his/ her valid Original documents like PAN, Aadhar, or any document issued by Govt with a Photo.

 

  • Cell phones, calculators, watch calculators, alarm clocks, digital watches with built in calculators/ memory or any electronic or smart devices are not be allowed in the examination hall.

 Step 1: Visit the official website of SET Exam 2019.

 Step 2: Click on the "Download Score Card" tab.

 Step 4: Click on the "Login". Upon successful log-in, the Results will be displayed on a screen.

Counselling Process

  • Counselling Scheduled on : in the month of June.

 

    Counselling Process:

 

  • Candidates having their names in the merit list are eligible to participate in Symbiosis SET Counselling.
  • In order to participate in the counselling, candidates must be physically present at the reporting centre.
  • Candidates who have already written entrance exams such as JEE Main 2019 and seeking admission in engineering or health sciences, need not apply for SET 2019. They can apply directly to the concerned Institution.

Can I directly come for admission round without registering for the First Year admissions?
  • Registration is a compulsory step for First Year 2019 admissions. Without registration, candidate would not be considered for admission process.
Is separate registration required for SET and JEEMain?
  • Yes, if candidate wishes to apply through both the scores, then they need to do a separate registration for SET and JEE/MHTCET exam.

FAQ Answer
What is cut-off for SET entrance exam?
  • There is no cut off for the SET entrance exam. However cut-offs are declared only for the admission round day as who can attend it. Rest all the students who have SET score below the declared cut off have an option to either attend the admission round or directly apply for waiting list.
If my score is less should I come for admission round, as I have to travel from a far-off  place?
  • The general cut-offs are informed via mail and displayed on website approximately one week prior to the admission round. If the candidate score is very less than the cut-off, then he/she can directly apply for the waiting list.

If I have some other exam or admission process at some other college, then are the parents allowed to come and confirm the admission? 
  • To participate in the admission round, physical presence of the candidate is mandatory.
Is the admission round On-line?
  • The Admission round is not on- line. The physical presence of the candidate along with the essential documents and a DD of required amount is mandatory. Kindly refer to the Q10. for DD details.
Is the accommodation available at the time of the admission round? What is the procedure  for the same?
  • Candidates have to make their own stay arrangements at the time of admission round. We will however upload on the website details of accommodation available in nearby hotels etc.
