Candidates should clear Class 12^th from UP board or any other recognized board/ university with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ ST candidates) in aggregate in the required three subjects.

All Eligible candidates for B. Tech. First-year are also eligible for B. Tech. Agriculture.

All candidates who are eligible for admission in B.Tech. Courses are also eligible for B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering) and B. Tech. (Biotechnology).

Permanent citizen of Uttar Pradesh or candidates from other states can also apply for (UPTU/AKTU) UPSEE 2020 examination.

Admissions to BTech lateral entry courses are open only in the institutions affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow.

The University shall fill the seats of NRI quota (5%) seats in the following manner:

(i) NRI quota seats shall be filled from NRIs, who

(a) have passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from an Institution situated outside India, which is considered equivalent to (10+2) examination by the Association of Indian Universities.

Candidates have passed High School Certificate Education (GCE) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Higher Mathematics (A) from London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka.

(b) have appeared in SAT II examination with Mathematics level II C, Physics and Chemistry.

Scholarship

It may be noted that UPSEE also provides merit-based scholarships to qualified students under the following categories:

• The Number of admissions in all courses offered at Institutions affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow, will be only through UPSEE-2020.

• 20% of the total sanctioned seats for admission in the first year of all courses in Institutions affiliated to AKTU shall be open to all the candidates. These seats shall be filled on the basis of UPSEE-2020 Merit.

• UPSEE 2020 Ranking: Candidates who got a rank up to 100 can take admission in any of the affiliated colleges in the first-year course B.Tech/ B.Pharma/ B.Arch/ BHMCT/ Biotech.

• Candidates who got a rank up to 20 can take admission in any of the affiliated colleges in the first-year course MBA/ MCA.

• A Scholarship will be given to top 10 Rank Holders of Gate, GRE Score above 2100 out of 2300, Top 1-20 Rank Holders of UPSC, GMAT/ CAT Toppers etc.,

Note: 

• Only the candidates whose family annual income is not more than one lakh are eligible to apply.

UPSEE 2020 Tips for Preparation

Try to keep your mind always positive.

Don’t take to stress and always try to keep yourself in a surround where everybody inspiring or encourage you to pursue your goals.

Here you need to be familiar with the exam pattern for preparation.

It will give you a detailed idea about the subjects, corresponding papers, and the marks allocated to each of the papers.

Try to give an equal amount of time for each subject for preparing Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Try to improve your speed and accuracy of solving questions.

Without the best study materials, a candidate is only zero.

In industry there is a lot of study material is available via online or offline mode. You can use them.

Try to keep two months before the examination for revising the topics which you go through at the preparation time.

Try to revise only those topics which you already covered from your UPSEE Syllabus, don’t try to touch new topics, if you did, it will create confusion which affects your concentration.

As in this examination, there is no negative marking, So always try to attempt more and more questions logically. 

Only try to give the answer to those questions where you are confident. 

If in case there is any negative marking then try to leave those questions where you are not confident.

Don’t take the stress and keep your mind fresh.

· Candidates are advised not to carry ballpoint pens, pencil, and eraser for Online Exam & Candidates appearing for pen-and-paper based test should carry a black/ blue pen and pencil.

· Do not sign the admit card beforehand. The admit card needs to be signed inside the exam hall only.

· Candidates should reach the test centre at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
